Long-term ethnographic study into gardening habits across Europe.

The Issue

International brand of gardening treatment products wanted to get up close and personal to their consumers to a) glean fresh insights to guide future strategy and b)immerse internal teams in the gardeners’ worlds.

What We Did

In depth ‘getting to know you’ in home/garden interviews in France, Germany, Italy & UK, followed by 3 months observing our respondents’ gardening behaviours online via mobile ethnography app – with clients observing and posing questions via the Reveal team.

What We Delivered

Best practice training into ‘insight hunting’ as part of European client team kick off meeting, giving teams confidence to identify the most compelling insights. Interactive debrief and summary of opportunity areas for products, packaging, merchandising and communication fuelled by discussion with local market teams.
